IMPORTANT: Please note that if this is not your first time running SINHER and the game crashes upon launch, this may be because it’s attempting to read an old save file. To prevent this go to %localappdata%\SINHER042 and delete Sinherkeybinds.sav


What’s new in 0.42?

♥ Game opening scene
- An intro has been added and plays when starting a new game!

Hopefully this eases the player into the game and gives an idea of what the story is about. Hold any key to skip using your keyboard, or the designated key for controllers.

♥ New ability: Heal
- The player can now heal using the soul-resource, this spends 10 Souls (just like the charm ability) and heals the player for 5 HP. This can be rebound in the Controls menu, accessed via the main menu screen
Will not work with less than 10 Souls collected. (May implement an indicator for this at some point)


♥ Reworked the Shadowbeasts sprites and H-Animation
All of the Shadowbeasts sprites have been reworked (except one of the H-anims, they are long and take a while) so it’s not just plain black, and its attack animation has been replaced.

Please note that going back to remake older assets isn't something I take lightly as it somewhat halts development, but here I deemed it necessary to retain a similar quality to the rest of the game.
I don't intend to go back and fix the visuals of many other things moving forward, except for the Undead Pikemen for reasons similar to that of the Shadowbeast.



Fixes/adjustments:
- Added stepping sound for climbing ladders
- Left and Right arrow keys implemented to work in the 'Controls' list for keyboards
- Added a string to display when attempting to load a game without any existing save file
